H1N1 flu has claimed the life of another beloved pet cat in Oregon. She was 8 years old. In addition, 3 confirmed cats are recovering or expected to do so; 2 in Colorado and 1 abroad in France. http://www.avma.org/public_health/influenza/new_virus/default.asp
I just keep wondering what else we give our fur kids, to what detriment to them and us. I certainly hope the deaths of these pets opens the medical communities' eyes to the broader possibilities of which they've been so historically dismissive.
Why are humans so hell bent on wearing blinders? Are we equine, so skittish we can't proceed without them? If so, I hear better training helps with that. I think we like to call it education in humans.
