Stop Wasting My... (Stop Badware.com)

I went web surfing to buy smokes.  (Yeah, yeah. Don't even start.)  Nearly every website I tried to go to got me a warning from these lovely new internet censors:  http://www.stopbadware.org/

They're a lovely new community of volunteers who have ganged up with some of the big internet kids and, when you try to go to a website, you get a warning page instead.  A great big badarse warning page.  And not just one, every page you visit on the website provokes the appearance of this page and you have to click to ignore it each time.  OK, so a single click isn't much but when you're surfing a product website, well... it adds up to lots and lots of clicks.  There's a link to click for "no, it isn't a badware website" but that takes you to their page to join forces with them, nothing more.  Liar, fraud, liar, fraud...

It isn't bad enough I have to put up with repeated captcha nonsense which is now usually 2 long captchas that my old, stroke damaged eyes have trouble with and some little work around that usually isn't any easier, just more and more tiny icons to torture me?  If I see one more pop up from Netflix, I may throw my computer out a window!  It's really getting to a point where I'm not the least bit sure the internet is saving me time, but wasting huge chunks of it!

Back to the nasty new censorship group.  Oh, yes, they appear to be targeting the "sin" products.  I want to see kids protected.  But, hang it, their parents should be the primaries taking that on and I shouldn't have to waste an hour every day to accomodate getting around censorship in an attempt for someone to do some other parents' job!  Last time I checked, I was and am

FREE, MUTT, and OVER 16 (make that WAY over 21)

Sorry for the ranting.  Was trying to do some catching up so I could get back to researching and writing and between nonsense from vendors and web crud along with a dog in heat (yep, the newbie Glenda isn't pregnant after all but I sure had to scramble to make sure the just-turned-a-year-old-in-tack-male Lab across the street behind a mere 4' fence...), and tending Sheba (OK, she seems to be getting better but her face is swollen and she still wants "tended" and back to the old vet we go tomorrow to check this new swelling), and, and...  It's been a long few days...
