USGE, Media Lying Yet Again...

No doubt some of you have seen the headlines howling that Jasen Shaw is a FUGITIVE.  This caught my eye immediately: "An arrest warrant was issued Feb. 10 but kept confidential until now."  I almost fell out of my chair laughing!

Gotta say the amount of details on that page don't look like a rumor being floated, even if whoever posted it is clearly somewhat illiterate from the looks of that topic line!  And I'd seen it posted in on-line forums before that.  You folks up in the Dallas area need to be careful what you believe from your local media.  If I were you, I wouldn't believe a word from Dallas News, WFAA, CBS 11, or any other news outlet that is so busy rushing to print that they do ZERO fact checking and apparently don't know about google or altavista.  I wonder which one of them got the press release from PETA and just scanned it in to create the "story" and that's a good name for it because this is not news at all and the fact of the warrant existing isn't yesterday's news, it isn't even last month's news.

Since nasty old PETA is the one who allegedly "broke" this story, well, consider the primary source.  So, the real question is: What is really up?  More PETA fund raising?  For Sure!

Maybe I'll come back later and tear the "news" reports apart for the line by line LIES or maybe I won't waste my time or maybe I'll wait a bit longer and let them dig an even bigger hole of lies. I've discovered of late that letting the media & those involved in some of these cases (like the prosecutors, judges, and humaniacs) can be useful from a blogger's perspective.  It gives them more rope and they certainly will use it to hang themselves.

Did think it was a good idea to give the PETA moles/delusional followers an easy place to post their flames :)

And, me?  I'm still waiting for some investigative reporter to publish how many of the "rescued" animals died in the care of SPCA of Texas.  Was it more than half?  I suspect it was.  Where did they all go?  Were the "saved" rodents given to the reptile folks used as food for snakes?  Hedgehog stew anyone?

How about just an accounting for the non-animal personal property that the City of Arlington and SPCA of Texas clearly loaded onto their trucks while they were doing their enormous raid?  Who kept it?  Why haven't criminal charges been filed against them for that theft of property?

Oh, yes, folks, it does appear that the SPCA or Texas and the City of Arlington kept some very expensive equipment, including caging systems.  I can't help but think that means they have plans for bigger and better raids in the future.

4 months and no coverage on any of that in the media worthy of reading or being called factual, let alone investigative.  Guess it's a good thing I wasn't holding my breath.

Hang onto your hats and pets folks, SPCA of Texas, HSUS, and PETA want yours too.

Interestingly, there's been something of a "win" for the Gideons in Dallas who are getting to keep their animals.  However, I'll have a slightly different take on that matter shortly.  Now, you knew I would, didn't you?
