PETCO Profits Either Way; PETCO gets its USGE animals (probably the same ones they had on order from USGE)

For years, the company [U.S. Global Exotics] has imported and exported hundreds of thousands of animals every year for eventual sale at major pet stores and pet store chains all over the world, including at U.S.-based PETCO

Wild Rescue, Inc. has taken on thousands of the USGE animals from SPCA Texas and will now be working with PETCO to get them adopted and guess who gets the “adoption fees” (aka sales proceeds)?  Well, PETCO, of course!

An adoption application and fee, which goes fully to the PETCO Foundation, is required to adopt these animals.”  PETCO Foundation like that’s not PETCO!  They’re not even giving a cut to Wild Rescue; now that’s impressive!

I’ll even bet they get to charge a premium price by calling it an “adoption” instead of a sale.  They’ll dump all of them in a short order into homes without those silly restrictions some organizations have claimed will follow animals and they’ll do it with volunteer labor.  And could they ask for better PR, free PR, than to claim to “save” and “adopt” out the very same animals that would probably have gone into their stores anyway without mentioning that part?  What a sweet deal for PETCO indeed!

“The rodents, reptiles and amphibians up for adoption…”  I suppose one could adopt the rodents to feed to the others but I’ll bet buying rodents would be cheaper than those exorbitant “adoption” fees are going to be.

“We were appalled by the tragedy at U.S. Global Exotics and we’re thrilled to help these animals in any way we can,” said Susan Rosenberg,… PETCO Foundation.  Funny, PETCO didn’t seem to have issues with them until now, when it’s time to do their little self-promo…

VILE HYPOCRITES and LIARS ALL

  • PETCO for this nonsensical “adoption”/sale.
  • SPCA of Texas for swearing throughout the USGE seizure that the animals would NOT go into individual hands if awarded to them.  Their fund raising on the backs of these animals done, they have no further use for the animals.  CONTEMPTUOUS!!!
  • Wild Rescue, Inc. and all the other NPOs participating in the resale of these animals.
  • Detroit Zoo too for increasing it’s exhibits.  Note how they selected for their exhibits, rather than taking in a random “lot” of animals to save.  This is to ensure their own profitability, not to save any animals!
  • PETA (does that one even need a comment/explanation?)
  • City of Arlington AND its Municipal Court.
  • The appellate judge.

You'd best hurry, because, as I understand it, Carmine Sabatini has ordered Clark Kellogg to deliver any unwanted animals to Larry London for a "special event."  Nicely put Robert Wilonsky!  The short course being “the Gourmet Club, where endangered animals are used as the main course, specially prepared by Larry London

Three entries so far today.  Just one of those days when one set of plans got derailed and another hopped on the tracks!
