2010 The Year to FIGHT BACK; Sinking of the Ady Gil

I'm not a fan of whaling but I am a fan of seeing thugs get slapped back!  Around the world near Australia, there's a little war over whaling going on.  And there's this group called Sea Shepherd that has appointed itself to harass and abuse the whalers who may indeed be breaking the law.  HOWEVER, the Sea Shepherds regularly put the human whaler as literal risk of death by throwing incendiary devices onto their ships and trying to tangle their propellers, amongst other damaging, threatening, and very dangerous actions.

The Sea Shepherds have lost their Ady Gil, a stealth ship that looks like it came out of a James Bond movie.  A huge Japanese ship plowed right into it.  There's some debate over who's fault that might be but I don't feel one whit of sorrow for Sea Shepherd.  None of their people were injured but their one of their harassment vehicles is GONE.  I couldn't be more thrilled!!!  2 wrongs don't make a right but sometimes they come close.

The Ady Gil cost $1.5 million and I hope it wasn't insured; alternately, that their insurance claim is denied!  You can read more about it here and be sure to check the video on the right and click the "more video" link.  The videos get switched out but there's a great one from the Japanese ship's deck where you can watch the plow down of the Ady Gil and it being water cannoned all the while.  Enjoy!

I get emails that essentially ask "what can we do?"  We can fight back, that's what!  I encourage you to stay within the bounds of the law and fight back in every creative and legal way you can find.  That will be a recurring topic here and I'll have more specific suggestions in the future.  For now, join organizations like NAIA, RPOA, and ADOA.  VOLUNTEER and ask what they need you to do; then do it.  If they don't have specific suggestions, come up with your own and move forward with or without them.  Recruit your friends who have animals to help save the future of all our animals.  In the meantime and when you get down, watch videos of the Sinking of the Ady Gil.  I'm sure they'll be on the net somewhere if they disappear from that website.  :)
