You, your family, and your pets may well have been or are about to be "vaccinated" and exposed to H1N1 whether you want to be or not. It's a well known and understood phenomena. It's called Contact Immunity. We're supposed to be comforted by words like immunity and vaccine but I'm not because I have a defective immune system and I know I am far from alone these days. It's a simple concept, give a live virus vaccine to someone and they're infected, will develop immunity, and will indeed pass the virus along to others. It's allegedly "safe" because it's just a tiny bit of exposure, weakened virus, just enough to provoke your immune system.
They say "get vaccinated" but have you seen any warnings for those with compromised immune systems to stay away from those recently immunized? Do they tell those vaccinated with live vaccine that they've essentially become H1N1 Mary for anyone else they come into contact with? Of course not. Those of us with poor or compromised immune systems (and don't think just AIDS, think cancer patients and Lupus victims, the very young, the elderly, and... well, the list is long) are mostly written off in this equation. I'm tired of being ignored and put at risk for the "greater good" when the great majority don't support those of us sacrificed for their sake!
LAIV is a live, attenuated intranasal vaccine. This is the H1N1 vaccine they spritz up the nose of those between ages 2 and 49. "The vaccine virus is attenuated (weakened) so it will not cause illness." BS, complete and utter BS. Scroll on down to page 2, Section 5, to read the very long list of those who should not be given this vaccine AND WHO SHOULD NOT BE EXPOSED TO ANYONE GIVEN THIS VACCINE for at least several days or longer.
Live virus vaccines raise 2 major concerns: vaccine induced illness and Contact Immunity/contact induced illness. We know lots about these phenomenon from decades of Polio vaccinations around the world. "Outbreaks of VAPP [vaccine-associated paralytic poliomyelitis] occurred independently in Belarus (1965–66), Canada (1966–68), Egypt (1983–1993), Hispaniola (2000–2001), Philippines (2001), Madagascar (2001–2002),[38] and in Haiti (2002), where political strife and poverty have interfered with vaccination efforts.[39] In 2006 an outbreak of vaccine-derived poliovirus occurred in China.[40] Cases have been reported from Cambodia (2005–2006), Myanmar (2006–2007), Iran (1995, 2005–2007), Syria, Kuwait and Egypt.[41] Since 2005, The World Health Organization has been tracking vaccine-caused polio in northern Nigeria caused by a mutation in live oral polio vaccines." "... (VAPP) varies by region but is generally about 1 case per 750,000 vaccine recipients.[36] In immunodeficient children, the risk of VAPP is almost 7,000 times higher" "Contact immunity to polio can occur when attenuated poliovirus derived from the oral polio vaccine is excreted, and infects and indirectly vaccinates unvaccinated individuals." Of course, that means they are also at risk of VAPP!!!
Vaccinations come with risks. We should know what they are rather than simply tagging along to the "greater good" sound bite, especially when it may well lead to several more decades before those injured even know they have been - let alone which of the "greater good" causes may be "associated" (it's almost never proven, merely "associated" with the vaccine - at best - see the 1976 flu vaccine and Guillain-Barre Syndrome "association") as the cause of their injury. "GBS may not have been directly due to the vaccine but to a bacterial contamination of the vaccine." 30+ years and that's the best they can come up with? So comforting to know it might have been "contamination" rather than... Vaccinations come with risks and we should know what they are!
The government severely limited our ability to sue over vaccine caused injuries long ago. Now we have this: "The Vaccine Injury Table (Table) makes
it easier for some people to get compensation." BUT, BUT, BUT, "If your injury/condition is not on the Table or
if your injury/condition did not occur within the
time period on the Table, you must prove that the
vaccine caused the injury/condition. Such proof must
be based on medical records or opinion, which may
include expert witness testimony." Id. Good luck with that when their mantra is "vaccines are safe, injuries VERY rare". And they sure aren't handing out much in compensation! What's your health worth? Your ability to move freely in society (something one can't do with a compromised immune system)? How about your life? "Awards to the estate in a vaccine-related death are limited to $250,000" I hope your family isn't depending on the income you bring in! They pay much more for the average person injured but that's because that person is paying out even more than they get just for medical care; aka net loss!
And then there's those reassuring "it doesn't have preservatives..." BUT a warning not to take it if you have an allergy to any of the ingredients. Are they giving out the ingredients as they give the vaccine? They sure don't make it easy to even know what "other" ingredients, including adjuvants, are in there!
Vaccinations come with risks and we should know what they are! In addition, those of us asked to sacrifice for the greater good shouldn't have to wait decades to be acknowledged for their sacrifice. On this, in these wee early hours of Veterans Day, my own thanks to those who have and are suffering from Gulf War Syndrome: "Along with possible confounding problems caused by exposure to more than one of the substances listed above, comorbidities with infectious diseases have also not been ruled out." You, most especially, should not have been questioned, dismissed, or ignored when you raised these health issues. You typify what is happening to so many and the burden of this fight should not have fallen to you. It is long past time for the medical establishment to dismiss their soundbites of "it's all safe, YOU (the patient) must give the "proof"". First do no harm my arse!
