H1N1 Vaccine RECALL

The news of the day is 800,000 doses of h1N1 vaccine for children being recalled.  No harm done they say; just shoot the kids up again and maybe one more time after that... and apparently they have no idea why these doses dropped in quality but, you know, it's all still safe despite what they can't figure out...

And tomorrow I'll try to get to the latest lovely ginormous animal seizure in Texas.  20,000 or more exotic pets snatched up from a commercial wholesaler.  And maybe even the worst of all worlds health plan our feds are bent on passing before Christmas.  Merry Christmas!  Taxes skyrocketing and services in the toilet.

But the wealthy can still fund animal rights nuts.  I just can't believe they're so upset about these particular critters it would be perfectly legal for us to kill with a hoe if they showed up in our yards.  Their upset seems to be that they aren't in their natural habitat.  I wonder if they have any idea what a natural habitat is for these exotics.  That natural habitat surely doesn't involve any safety or security or someone pampering them and providing food on a plate.  They were eating other animals?  Oh, my, how could they?  DUH, because that's exactly what they will do in their "natural habitat"!!!

Did you see?  The FDIC has nearly doubled the amounts it will be charging member banks next year and you all know what that means...  What we pay the banks in fees will surely go up by an amount that will surely be double what they will be paying - gotta be sure to sneak some profits in there.  I'm thinking under the mattress or in a ziplock bag, in a coffee can, buried in the yard.

I seem to have picked up a virus when I went shopping a few days ago.  Like many of you, I have lousy health insurance and it doesn't seem worth sitting in a medical facility for hours or days to the tune of several thousands of dollars and the risk I'll pick up something worse just to be told it's a virus; go home, rest, lots of fluids - come back when you're dying because then we can collect bundles from your insurance doing things you're too out of it to refuse.

I believe the south Texas version of winter has finally arrived with temps staying well below 60. Yes, I know, not really cold but miserable for me anymore and stuck in the house now.  Between the chill, cabin fever, and a virus, I may be more cranky than normal for a while :)
