Save GA Pets; Shelter Closing Temporarily

The Paulding Humane Society in Dallas (Paulding County), GA, has to close due to a rodent infestation that has to be erradiacted.  YesBiscuit! is asking all who can help by taking in animals to do so and I second that plea for help for the animals.  They have reduced their adoption fee across the board to $20.  Hopefully all who might be able to help are headed out the door with their IDs and $20.

Now, that said, WTF is Paulding Humane Society (PHS) thinking???  Reduce fees and clearly resent doing so (see the news videos on their main page) to save animals that you voluntarily took in???  You SHOULD be willing to pay for at least the out of pocket costs for them to be fostered for the 2 weeks you have to be closed!  You guys did such a piss poor maintenance job on your facility that you put these animals at risk.  Suck it up!  Instead you go on TV pleading for the animals to be adopted at a reduced rate or else you'll KILL them.  There's a perfect example of convenience killing!

I fully understand the concept of someone putting some cash down to show "investment" in the animal but PHS put themselves and these animals in this situation and the animals shouldn't have to die because of their malfeasance.  If a dog owner acted like this the humaniacs would be throwing hissy fits.  If someone has a home and $20, that's a couple of months of food for one of those cats and I'd damned sure rather see it fed than PHS get its $20 under these circumstances.

PHS, Don't you dare kill an animal you took in rather than send it out the door in the hands of anyone willing to love it and able to tend it for the time you have to be closed, even if you have to cough up some change for its care!
