PETA Peeves White House

"The White House is fuming over a new anti-fur campaign featuring first lady Michelle Obama...  White House maintains that PETA had no right to use the image of the first lady in its new ads."

"PETA president Ingrid Newkirk insists her organization wouldn't have sought Obama's consent for the ad because it knows that she can't make such an endorsement."  I'm having trouble understanding how that justifies stealing her image for your use and profit Ingrid.  Sounds more like good old fashioned  false and/or misleading misappropriation of likeness for the purpose of unjust enrichment to me!  If she isn't a PETA supporter, you sure put her in a false light to my eyes when that photo was unveiled.  So, now we know PETA will steal animals, kill animals, steal the likeness of the First Lady, ask for you money with all kinds of misrepresentations.  I'm really starting to think there isn't anything they would do.

"PETA senior vice president Dan Mathews added that Obama should be flattered."  Why would anyone be flattered at having something stolen from them?  Mathews, if you think that you're as nutty as your boss Ingrid.  In my opinion, Ingrid very probably suffers from some very serious medical conditions and may need a keeper; maybe Mathews needs one too.

"She appears alongside Oprah Winfrey, Carrie Underwood and Tyra Banks"  "The other three have officially endorsed PETA's anti-fur campaigns."  All 3, ON MY LIST!

Rather amazing how many of the "media" who printed stories on this also printed what they KNOW to be an objectionable picture because that's the "story" they're covering.  Is there NO journalistic integrity left at all?

"The White House has contacted the group about the issue, an official told AFP, without providing further details."  Ooooooh, You're in TROUBLE.  Keep it up PETA.  I just love it when you're your own worst enemy.
