In reality, the lizards are falling, comatose, to the ground in Florida due to the sudden arctic cold that has moved in. It is the humans who are leaping out of the way as the lizards fall and some who are leaping to their rescue.
You rescuers who are saving those lizards be very careful down there. Good old Clifford Warwick has been playing on our side of the pond again, of late in north Texas; party to the recent attack on U.S. Global Exotics. You know him well down there and he’s probably just a short plane trip away still. Even the Federation of British Herpetologists can verify Warwick’s bona fides as an alleged expert in herpetology, let alone his more vast claims as expert of all things “exotic”. When those who actually “do” utterly dismiss those who clearly can’t “do”, I’m inclined to dismiss the latter’s claims as “expert”.
Still, be careful opening your doors as it may well be friends of Warwick and PETA come to seize the lizards you’ve so carefully saved from the bitter cold. They don’t approve of your actions. They’ll call your rescue a form of abuse and, while there, will seize your other beloved pets as a matter of course. Line up a lawyer to protect your ownership rights in your pets and put that lawyer on speed dial; that is if you can find one who will do so. There’s an entire army of lawyers trained by PETA, HSUS, ASPCA, and friends who stand ready to seize your animals and sell them to others or kill them but few who will come to your side of the issue – so far.
