18 Month Quality Control Failure

"Campbell Soup Co. is recalling 15 million pounds of SpaghettiOs with meatballs... manufactured between December 2008 and June 2010..."  You didn't to a Quality Control Check for 18 months?  WTF??  "about 35,000 cases"  Don't know exactly how much you produced during that 18 months?  Gee, guess I shouldn't be surprised if you skipped QC checks of meat for 18 months!  "Much of it has likely been consumed."  Ya think??!!

We used to eat SpaghettiOs out of the can and I have a few cans in my 72 hour kits.  I'm not a satisfied customer right now and I know where the plant is.  Wanna know what I'm thinking?

More lovely news this morning: "The oil emanating from the seafloor contains about 40 percent methane... That means huge quantities of methane have entered the Gulf, scientists say, potentially suffocating marine life and creating "dead zones" where oxygen is so depleted that nothing lives."

It's gator mating season and they're already moving inland.  I'm guessing the gators aren't gonna like oil so everybody can probably expect to see more gators further inland, annoyed, and hungry shortly.  I really feel for those north and east of the spill on this one!

Despite the disastrous economy, property taxes continue to rise AND SO DO PENALTIES for late payment.  They're going to make damn sure they get THEIR money whether we can afford to eat or not; wouldn't want any belt tightening on their end of the deal!  No doubt we'll see more increases in property taxes shoving more and more people into default.  Yes, they'll knowingly perpetuate the cycle that's feeding the economic disaster.  The though process behind promoting economic failure utterly eludes me though.

A murderer was killed by the same method he used to murder.  He was shot.  "Gardner was at the Salt Lake City court facing a murder charge in the shooting death  of a bartender, Melvyn Otterstrom when he took a gun smuggled into him and he shot Burdell in the face as the attorney hid behind a door in the chaotic courthouse."  This is the capital punishment I can live with.  He did the deed.  He was cold blooded about at least one of the murders.  Death by firing squad is quick and efficient; arguably better than lethal injection.  Gardner has been permanently recalled to meet his maker.  There’s a quality control that worked; albeit too slowly for my taste.

How many Quality Control defects can you find in the picture above?

I may have to change my home page so I just don't even see the news blurbs!  Back to the critters for me today.
